In 2015, Yang Kee Noodle, Louisville’s go-to eatery for fast-casual Pan-Asian cuisine, was preparing to open a second location after 12 years. They sought public relations expertise to ensure media and local diners understood the concept: quality Asian food without the wait. Rachel organized a full PR campaign to launch the location, and following the success of this second opening, Yang Kee Noodle engaged Rachel again to plan their next major milestone – opening their first Highlands location.
Rachel developed a grand opening plan that included events to engage local media, food bloggers, community influencers and area diners. The plan also included a fundraiser to support the Gilda’s Club of Louisville, a highlands-based nonprofit.
The Yang Kee Noodle Highlands opening secured media attention on three local TV stations, the daily newspaper, the local business journal, several restaurant magazines and other local outlets. PR efforts also garnered more than 20 social media hits from media outlets, reporters and area influencers.
